Raymond's Run

Cause Effect

1.- She has a disable brother She was always taking care of him.

2.- She has to be always with him. Everybody say bad things of him only because he

wasn't okey.

3.- She was a little girl with skinny They called her Squeaky.

5.- Gretchen say that she will win Squeaky don't like that because, she said she was

6.- Her brother made mischieves. She has to apologyize with the people, because he

was disturbing them.

7.- Mary Louise used to be Squeaky's Mary Louise said bad things about Squeaky.

8.- It was the May Day at the park. Everybody has new cloth. Except Squeaky, she

hasn't money to afford a new dress.

9.- It was the day of the race. Squeaky and Greatchen wants to win the race.

10.- They were very close. Squeaky couldn't see who won.

11.- Raymond start waving Squeaky Squeaky doesnt know why.

12.- They announced the winner. Squeaky had won.

B.- Explain the conflict and the attitute toward disabled people presented in the story.

In the story the people didn't respect Raymond, they don't understand the he is a human and he has feelings. They looked at him like if he was something strange. They were like dicriminating him. The society is not prepared to treated someone like Raymond, I don't know why the people is like this. They treated him like if he was a bad person, when he is not! This definetly has to change, because if we were in Raymond's place we wouldn't like to be treat in that way.
